Q: How do I make the background on my designs transparent in Easy View?
A: When in the Easy View designer, select the background editor tool and ensure it has ‘no colour’ selected. As shown in images below. For a full video on how to order with Easy View, CLICK HERE.
Q: How do I apply Custom Heat Transfers?
UltraColour Heat Transfers are fused at 120°C for 12 seconds.
Screen Printed Transfers are fused at 160°C for 10 seconds.
To ensure your transfer applied correctly you must ensure your time, temperature and pressure on your heat press is accurate. With Hotronix Heat Presses you can specifically control each of these elements digitally to ensure you heat transfer is being applied with the right settings.
Once pressed the transfer should feel like part of the garment, no edges. If there are any areas of lifting the transfer may need another quick press to ensure a perfect application.
Pre-Pressing your garments before applying your transfer is also vital!
Q: Why Pre-Press?
- Removes moisture from garment
- Removes folds & creases from garment
- Prepares garment for transfer application
- Will help transfer adhesive bond correctly to the garment during the fuse
- Higher quality, longer lasting transfers
Your transfer may not apply correctly if you don't Pre-Press and the longevity of the transfer may be compromised. 5-10 seconds is all it takes to ensure a high-quality transfer application. If your garment contains extra moisture (in the winter months for example) your Pre-Press may need to be slightly longer. You know your pre-press is complete when there is no steam coming from the garment. Then you can apply your transfer.
Q: How do I upload my design to Easy View for Custom Heat Transfers?

Q: I’m just starting out, which heat press is best for me?
