Create matching sets of loungewear in seconds with the Hotronix Dual Air Fusion

Despite coming out the other side, it is undeniable that the coronavirus pandemic changed the face of fashion and garment decoration. Attitudes toward post-pandemic office usage has meant that the traditional 9-5 work routine may have changed forever. As millions of people across the UK continue to work from the comfort of their own home, the demand for a more relaxed style of clothing has risen. There’s little need for formal business attire if you’re not going into public and meeting clients in person, after all.

So, how does this impact you as a heat printer?

If you're not including matching sets of loungewear in your garment range, you are missing out on a massive opportunity for sales.

We’re going to explain just how easy it is to create these sets using the Hotronix Dual Air Fusion.

The Hotronix Dual Air Fusion is the only dual work station heat press to have Fusion IQ wifi technology in the world. Each station has the Hotronix EZ-On platen design. This means you have a greater clearance area under each platen. Both stations on the Dual Air Fusion IQ have quick-change platens too. With a simple pull of a lever, you can easily remove your platen and add in a smaller or different shaped platen - perfect for saving time when creating matching sets!

Whats the best process?

1. You need Heat Transfers

UltraColour Max is a Direct To Film (DTF) Heat Transfer and is a great option for full colour graphics when creating a garment set like this. By gang sheeting this 55x55cm product, you can arrange all your designs in one place, ready to be cut and fused. Why not fill the gaps with small logos for sleeve or arm branding?

If you're wondering how to create a gang sheet, check out our Youtube video here for more information.

2. The Heat Press

Conveniently, the Hotronix Dual Air Fusion comes with 2x 40x50cm lower platens as standard. These platens are perfect medium to large application areas.

Thread your first garment onto this platen, and begin customising the first piece in your loungewear set. We recommend using a tshirt or the back of a hoodie or sweatshirt for this step. It takes just 12 seconds at 145° to fuse an UltraColour Max heat transfer, so before you know it, you'll be ready to remove the carrier (hot peel) and you can move over to your second workspace.

By having a smaller lower platen such as the 10x10cm size already set up on the second work station, you can begin pressing your matching loungewear set pieces in no time while avoiding zips and seams for neck labels

TOP TIP:

Because we're discussing creating loungewear sets that are typically made of soft heat sensitive materials, using a Grip Flex Pad will help to minimise garment scorching as help protect your press at the same time.
