This week on The Target Transfers Podcast, Andy quizzes Molly about the revenue opportunity local to Target Transfers.

As Target Transfers is based in Braintree in Essex, Andy presents some intriguing statistics relevant to this particular local area.

As it turns out, Braintree is the 243rd largest town or city in the UK. What this really means is there are 243 places in the UK that are WAY bigger with WAY more opportunity than the statistics that Andy presents in this episode, and it's very likely that YOU live or work in one of them.

Andy's approach to finding that local business begins on Google Maps which is a FREE search tool where you can type a word in and it will find relevant businesses close to the location specified.

Andy tackles Braintree by splitting the local businesses into trade categories with the largest category for heat printing opportunities in Braintree being Wholesale, Retail Trade and Repair of Motor Vehicles.

This category came in at a whopping 9,000 people working in this industry in Braintree. This means that in Braintree alone, there are 9000 people who may need 5x branded t-shirts, 1x branded fleece and perhaps a couple of pairs of trousers and a hat... That you could be heat printing.

Even the smaller niche statistics for Braintree ended up looking very impressive. There are 450 people working in Water Supply (sewerage, waste management and remediation activities) in Braintree. Andy estimates that realistically, each member of this trade is likely to need up to 10 items of branded workwear meaning there is an opportunity to heat print 4500 pieces of workwear without even leaving the local area.

So why are we listing these statistics? To show all you heat printers across the UK that there is revenue opportunity on your doorstep. You just have to go out and find it!
